Sowing instructions:

To successfully grow your Trigonella foenum-graecum seeds, follow these steps for optimal sowing:

  1. Time of sowing: Fenugreek thrives best in cooler seasons. Start sowing in spring or fall when temperatures are milder. Avoid periods of extreme heat, as this can impair growth.
  2. Choice of location: Choose a sunny location for your fenugreek plants that offers well-drained soil. Fenugreek can also be grown in containers or pots as long as they receive enough sunlight.
  3. Preparation of the floor: Loosen the soil and remove weeds and stones. Mix the soil with some compost or organic fertilizer to improve the nutrient supply.
  4. Sowing: Scatter the Trigonella foenum-graecum seeds evenly over the prepared area and cover them lightly with soil. Press the soil down gently to ensure that the seeds have good soil contact.
  5. Irrigation: Keep the soil evenly moist, especially during the germination phase. However, avoid excessive watering to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to rotting.

Tips and tricks:

  • Regular harvest: Fenugreek can be harvested after just a few weeks. Cut off the leaves and young shoots regularly to promote growth and keep the plants compact.
  • Air circulation: Make sure that your fenugreek plants have enough space to ensure good air circulation and prevent fungal diseases.
  • Use of plant supports: For tall varieties, it can be helpful to use plant supports to keep the plants upright and reduce the risk of stem breakage.
