Sowing instructions

Phaseolus vulgaris var. nanus "Supernano Giallo" seeds are ideal for growing in your garden or on the balcony. It is best to start sowing in mid-May, when there is no longer any risk of frost. You should place the seeds about 2-3 cm deep in the soil and keep a distance of 30-40 cm between the plants. Make sure the soil is well-drained and the location is sunny to create optimal growing conditions. Water regularly, but avoid waterlogging as this can lead to root rot.

Harvest, use & storage

You can harvest the first tender, yellow beans after around 60 days. "Supernano Giallo" impresses with its crunchy texture and mild flavor, which is particularly suitable for salads, soups and vegetable stir-fries. You can use the beans fresh or blanch and freeze them to preserve them for longer. They are also well suited as storage vegetables: The harvested beans will keep for several weeks in a cool, dry place.

Tips & Tricks

To ensure that the plants grow vigorously, you should regularly remove weeds and keep the soil around the plant loose. This promotes aeration of the roots. If you cool your beans immediately after harvesting, they will retain their full flavor and crunchy texture. Regular fertilization with organic fertilizer supports growth and ensures a rich harvest. It is also important to protect the plants from strong winds, as bean plants are sensitive to mechanical stress.
