Sowing instructions

To successfully grow Capsicum annuum "Anaheim" seeds, you should sow the seeds in pots or seed trays around 6-8 weeks before the last frost in your region. Use a high-quality potting soil and press the seeds lightly into the surface, as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil evenly moist and place the containers in a warm place with a temperature between 21-25 °C. Germination usually takes place within 10-14 days.

Tips and tricks

Some helpful tips for growing healthy plants include regularly airing the growing containers to prevent mold growth and using a grow light if the light conditions are not optimal. As soon as the young plants are big enough, prick them out and transplant them into larger pots. Before transplanting outside, the plants should be hardened off by acclimatizing them to the outside temperatures for several days at a time. Make sure that the final location is sunny and that the soil is well-drained and rich in nutrients.
