Sowing instructions

To achieve the best results when growing Daucus carota "Atomic Red" seeds, you should sow the seeds in well-drained soil. Start in spring as soon as the danger of frost has passed. Sow the seeds directly into the open ground, about 1 cm deep and 2-3 cm apart. Keep the soil evenly moist until the seedlings appear, which is usually after 10-20 days. For a continuous harvest, resow every two to three weeks until late summer.

Tips and tricks

• Loosen the soil well and remove stones and weeds to provide the carrots with optimum growing conditions.
• Thin out the seedlings to a distance of 5-7 cm to ensure sufficient space for the roots.
• Mulch the plants to maintain soil moisture and reduce the growth of weeds.
• Water regularly, but avoid waterlogging as this can lead to root rot.
• Make sure the carrots get enough sunlight, at least 6 hours a day.
