Sowing instructions

Growing Sigesbeckia pubescens seeds is uncomplicated and enriches your garden with an interesting plant. Start in spring when the danger of frost has passed. Sow the seeds directly into well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Cover them lightly with soil as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil moist, but not wet. The first seedlings should appear within 2-4 weeks. Make sure to protect the young plants from direct sunlight and strong winds.

Tips and tricks

Sigesbeckia pubescens prefers a sunny to semi-shady location. Water regularly, but avoid waterlogging as this can damage the roots. Fertilizing is not usually necessary, but an occasional application of compost can promote growth. If the plants are too dense, prune them to create enough space for them to develop. You can also use the leaves and flowers of the plant in natural medicine, for example to make tinctures.

Its yellow flowers attract bees and butterflies, contributing to biodiversity in your garden. Another advantage is that Sigesbeckia pubescens is relatively easy to care for and resistant to pests.
