Growing instructions:

TIP: You will get the best results or the best germination rate if you grow the seeds indoors in a controlled environment. In other words, you can get the best out of the seeds with a small propagator and a suitable growing lamp. Sowing seeds outdoors or on a windowsill usually doesn't work very well in our latitudes. For this reason, many people simply have no "luck" with growing Uncaria seeds - which you don't actually need, just the necessary know-how :).

The tiny and sometimes tricky to grow seeds need mainly light, heat and moisture for germination. Once the seeds dry out completely for a long time, they die very quickly.

Fill growing pots with growing soil, spray with water, place the seeds on the soil and sprinkle with water. If at all, sprinkle only very thinly (or not at all) with a fine layer of soil/sand. It is best to cover the growing pots with plastic wrap and aerate them daily, or to Keep soil always moist. Otherwise, the pots can be placed in suitable indoor greenhouses until the seeds germinate and the seedlings are a few centimeters tall. It is important to ensure a supply of fresh air at least once a day to prevent and avoid mold.

To successfully germinate Uncaria seeds, you need sufficient warmth, light and moisture. Cat's claw requires a slightly subtropical climate for healthy and rapid growth.

After germination of seeds seedlings can be slowly accustomed to the drier indoor air or fresh air outdoors after a few weeks.

It is important to give plants that have already grown well a Trellis which can grow upwards.

We use high-quality plant soil with sufficient perlite, clay granules and/or volcanic stone granules for the plants.
