Sowing instructions

Um die besten Ergebnisse mit den Capsicum annuum „Diablo Rojo“ Samen zu erzielen, beginnst Du am besten im zeitigen Frühjahr mit der Aussaat. Säe die Samen etwa 0,5 cm tief in nährstoffreiche Anzuchterde und bedecke sie leicht. Stelle sicher, dass der Standort warm und hell ist – idealerweise bei einer konstanten Temperatur von 22-25°C. Halte die Erde gleichmäßig feucht, aber vermeide Staunässe. Nach 2-3 Wochen zeigen sich die ersten Keimlinge. Sobald die Pflänzchen kräftig genug sind, kannst Du sie in größere Töpfe oder ins Freiland umsetzen.

Harvest, use & storage

Die leuchtend roten Schoten von „Diablo Rojo“ können nach etwa 75-85 Tagen geerntet werden. Sie haben ein intensives Aroma und eine angenehme Schärfe, die sich perfekt für scharfe Salsas, Eintöpfe und zum Würzen von Fleischgerichten eignen. Die Schoten kannst Du frisch verwenden, trocknen oder einfrieren, um sie für später zu konservieren. Bei trockener und dunkler Lagerung bleiben sie mehrere Monate haltbar.

Tips & Tricks

To maximize the harvest, you should fertilize the plants regularly and make sure they get enough sunlight. In cooler temperatures, you can bring the pots indoors to keep the plants growing. Also make sure to harvest the pods regularly to stimulate the formation of new fruits.
