Sowing instructions

The Robinia pseudoacacia has a hard seed coat, which is why a Stratification or pre-treatment is recommended:

1. Allow to swell: Pour hot (not boiling) water over the seeds and leave them to soak for 24 hours.
2. Alternative: The seeds can also be stimulated to germinate better by mechanical roughening (e.g. with sandpaper) or a short cold period (2-4 weeks in the refrigerator).
3. Sowing: Plant the seeds about 1-2 cm deep in a nutrient-poor substrate and keep the soil evenly moist.
4. Location: A bright, warm place (approx. 20-25 °C) promotes germination, which starts after 2-6 weeks.

• Harvest: The ripe robinia seed pods can be harvested in late fall. The seeds are dried and separated from the pods.
