Sowing instructions

Get ready to enrich your garden with the impressive Cucurbita pepo "Halloween Jack"! For best results, sow the seeds in late spring as soon as there is no risk of frost. Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil. Place the seeds about 2-3 cm deep in the soil and keep a distance of 60-90 cm between the plants. Keep the soil evenly moist until the seedlings appear, which usually happens within 7-14 days.

Tips and tricks

To ensure a rich harvest, you should water the plants regularly, especially during the flowering and fruiting phase. Mulch the soil around the plants to retain moisture and reduce weeds. Fertilize every two weeks with a balanced fertilizer to promote growth. When the plants start to bear fruit, you can store them on a base (e.g. straw or a board) to protect them from direct contact with the soil and possible rot.
