Sowing instructions For the successful cultivation of Mentha pulegium (Polei mint) seeds, it is important to choose a well-drained soil. Start sowing in early spring. Scatter the seeds evenly over the prepared soil surface and cover them only lightly with soil. Keep the soil moist, but not wet, until the seedlings appear.

Tips and tricks

• Light and temperaturePolei mint needs a lot of sunlight, so choose a sunny location. The ideal temperature for germinating the seeds is between 18°C and 24°C.
• IrrigationKeep the soil moist by watering regularly but sparingly. Waterlogging should be avoided as this can lead to root rot.
• Harvest timeStart harvesting when the plants have reached a sufficient size. Cut off the shoot tips to encourage the plant and keep it bushy.
