Sowing instructions
Ideally, Capsicum annuum "Cubo Orange" seeds should be sown between February and April. Use nutrient-rich potting compost and press the seeds lightly into the soil. Cover them with a fine layer of soil and keep the substrate moist, but not wet. A bright location with temperatures between 22 and 28 °C promotes germination, which usually takes place after 10 to 20 days. As soon as the seedlings are strong enough, they can be transplanted into larger pots or into the open ground.

Harvest, use & storage
You can harvest the first bright orange fruits around 70 to 90 days after sowing. The peppers are characterized by their sweet, fruity taste and crunchy texture. They are ideal for fresh salads, as a snack or for grilling. To store them, you should keep them in a cool, dry place. Alternatively, you can also freeze them or process them into chutneys and sauces.

Tips and tricks

• Use a greenhouse or a protected windowsill for early cultivation.
• Water regularly, but avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.
• Fertilize every two weeks with a potassium-rich liquid fertilizer for a high-yielding harvest.
• Remove wilted leaves regularly to keep the plant healthy.
• Support the shoots with plant stakes if there is a heavy fruit load.
