Sowing instructions

If you want to grow Aster alpinus 'Pinkie' in your garden, you will be rewarded with beautiful pink flowers that will enhance any garden. This low-maintenance perennial is ideal for rock gardens, borders and as a ground cover. Start sowing the seeds in early spring or fall. Scatter the seeds on the surface of well-prepared soil and cover them lightly with a thin layer of soil. Make sure that the soil remains moist, but not too wet. Germination usually takes place within two to four weeks at temperatures between 15-20°C.

• Choice of location: Aster alpinus "Pinkie" thrives best in a sunny position. It also tolerates light partial shade, but full sun is ideal for optimum flowering.
