Sowing instructions

The "yellow pear-shaped" tomato is a charming variety that impresses with its bright yellow color and pear-like shape. For cultivation, you should start sowing indoors around 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date. Fill small seed pots or trays with high-quality potting compost. Sow the seeds on the surface of the soil and cover them lightly with a thin layer of soil or vermiculite. Keep the soil constantly moist, but not wet, and place the pots in a warm, bright place or use a plant light. Germination usually takes place within 7 to 14 days.

Tips and tricks

To achieve the best results, keep the temperature at 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. Once the seedlings have reached a height of around 5 cm and a pair of true leaves have developed, prick out the seedlings into larger pots. Gradually acclimatize the plants to the outside temperatures by placing them outside during the day before finally planting them outdoors. Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil and make sure to water regularly but avoid waterlogging. The tomato plants need support to bear their heavy fruit.
