Sowing instructions:

Betonias prefer sunny to semi-shady locations with well-drained soil.

1. Preparation of the floor: Loosen the soil and remove weeds. Mix the soil with some compost or organic fertilizer to improve the soil structure and nutrient supply.
2. Sowing: Scatter the Stachys officinalis seeds evenly over the prepared area and cover them lightly with a thin layer of soil. Press the soil down gently to ensure that the seeds have good soil contact.
3. Irrigation: Keep the soil evenly moist until the seeds germinate. However, avoid excessive watering to prevent waterlogging, which could impair germination.
4. Germination: Germination may vary depending on conditions and seed quality. Keep the soil moisture constant and be patient until the seeds germinate.

Tips and tricks:

• Care after germination: As soon as the seedlings appear, thin them out to make room for the healthy growth of the plants.
• Regular watering: Betonias require regular watering during the growing season, especially during dry periods, to promote healthy growth.
• Harvest time: The leaves and flowers of the betonia plants can be harvested during the flowering period, depending on the intended use.
