Sowing Cistus albidus seeds is an exciting adventure that takes you into the fascinating world of Mediterranean flora. Start with a well-drained substrate that is rich in nutrients. Loosen the soil well and spread the seeds evenly over the surface. Press them down lightly, but do not cover them completely as they need light to germinate. Tips and tricks:

To speed up germination, you can soak the seeds in lukewarm water for a few hours before sowing. This helps to soften the outer shell and speed up the process. Once the seedlings have reached a reasonable size, you can carefully repot them into individual pots to give them more room to grow. Make sure you fertilize them regularly, but don't overdo it, as Cistus albidus is rather undemanding and over-fertilization should be avoided. It is also advisable to protect the plants from heavy frost, especially in the first few years when they are still young and tender.
