Growing instructions:

These seeds are light germinators, which is why they can only germinate thinly or not with a growing medium (this should have a acidic pH value show). The best thing to do is to get Rhododendron soil for growing this type of plant if you don't have forest soil to hand.

Then fill the seed pots with the seed/rhododendron soil, spray with water, place the seeds on the soil and cover only thinly (or not at all) with substrate. It is best to cover the pots with plastic foil and aerate them daily or keep the soil moist. The pots can also be placed in suitable propagators until the seeds have germinated and the seedlings are a few centimetres tall. It is important to ensure a supply of fresh air at least once a day to prevent and avoid mold.

After germination of seeds seedlings can be very slowly accustomed to the drier indoor air or fresh air outdoors after a few weeks.

Requires outdoors a sunny location and a Good water-draining, acidic substrate or soil in which the plants are planted (or directly in the forest, for example). If young plants are cultivated outdoors, they should still be somewhat protected - especially from wind and rain.
