Sowing instructions

If you want to grow Lavandula lanata, also known as woolly lavender, in your garden, start sowing in early spring. Choose a well-drained, sandy soil and make sure the seeds are lightly covered with soil. Water the seeds carefully and keep the soil moist, but not wet. Germination can take between 14 and 28 days. As soon as the small plants are big enough, you can transplant them to a sunny location where they can develop optimally.

Tips and tricks

Lavandula lanata prefers sunny locations and loves warm temperatures. Take care not to overwater the plants, as waterlogging can lead to root rot. Regular pruning in spring helps to keep the plants compact and bushy. If you grow Lavandula lanata in pots, use well-drained soil and make sure that excess water can drain away. Fertilize sparingly - one application in spring is usually enough to provide the plants with the necessary nutrients.
