Sowing instructions

Growing Anadenanthera peregrina seeds, also known as Yopo or Cebil, is best started in late spring or summer. Soak the seeds in warm water for about 24 hours to encourage germination - this will make them sprout faster and more vigorously. Prepare a well-drained, nutrient-rich soil and plant the seeds about 1 cm deep in the soil. Make sure to keep the soil slightly moist without overwatering, as the seeds tend to go moldy when waterlogged. Place the pot in a warm, bright location with temperatures between 20-25 °C. Germination usually takes between two and four weeks.

The Anadenanthera peregrina plant takes time to grow and is a perennial plant that also looks great in your garden. Its seeds are traditionally used in various cultures and have a long history as an incense. After harvesting, you should dry the seeds well and store them in an airtight container in a cool, dark place to preserve their quality for a long time.
